BERNIE DUFF P.I. Another Day, Another CrimeThis short film was made during my Advanced Diploma course in 2015.
It was my Individual Short Film Project. I made this pretty much independently with a few classmates and friends, and with my own gear. Shot over 2 weeks, with the main body of the film (All the exterior Scenes), Shot on a Saturday in early August, in 6 hours. The remainder (All the Interior Scenes), was shot the following Saturday. I wrote the script, worked out all the camera shot types, directed it, edited it and starred in it. |

THE MAN WHO COULD FLYThis animation was made for a Mini Animation project during my Advanced Diploma course in 2015.
Filmed and edited at home, in the old fashion cut out, 2D stop motion style. Heavily influenced by Terry Gilliam's Monty Python Animations. I came up with the wacky little story for this, which came to me after a found the picture that I used for the main character. I also provided all the voices. |

RED DEVILSThis Short Film was made during my Certificate 4 in film. screen and media course that I was doing in 2014.
Filmed during class time, with Wollongong Tafe equipment and shot on the grounds at Wollongong Tafe. This was my first attempt at making a short film. |

LIBRARIAN RHAPSODYShot in mid 2015 for Shoalhaven Libraries. This little clip created quite a stir.
Designed to break the old stereotype that libraries and librarians are boring and dull, it quickly went viral on Youtube and in social media circles, became a trending topic on Facebook, and currently has been viewed over 140,000 times. It was written about in the Sydney Morning Herald and Illawarra Mercury and was reported about on WIN News in Wollongong. Filmed in a few hours, during some spare time one afternoon/evening while in the middle of studying. Then edited together in whatever spare time I had over the next few weeks after filming. It was a lot of fun. I did the camera work and directed the Library staff, having to come up with a lot of framing ideas on the spot. I also edited it all together. |

THE DANCE OF THE DINOSAURA stop motion project I had to do as part of my Certificate 4 in Film, Screen and Digital Media, in 2014.
With this project I got to work with an actual stop motion camera rig at Wollongong Tafe, all my other stop motion animations I've shot at home with my own makeshift setup. |

BRUCE! - HAZY EYESMy 2nd proper attempt at doing stop motion animation resulted in this Film clip for Wollongong band BRUCE! for their song "Hazy Eyes".
The clip was created in a month, during January 2014, just before I started studying film. I had quit my boring day job of 13 years in a call center, early the month before, and was waiting for my film course to start. So I filled in the spare time I had and created this epic little film clip. |

TVC PROJECT - CROCS FOOTWEARTV Commercial Project. Completed as part of the Advanced Diploma in Film, Screen and Digital Media 2015.
About a third of the class were involved in the filming of this. During the shoot, I was doing the lighting and a few other jobs too (I think I was even an extra at one point). This is my edit of the project, which features my own slogan and me doing my own voice over. |

WOLLONGONG HOMELESS HUB FUNDRAISER GIG PROMO
Promo for a fundraiser gig for the Wollongong Homeless Hub, made to be used on social media.
The Promo and Fundraiser were created to raise funds and food donations, while also creating awareness of the Wollongong Homeless Hub and its cause. I filmed the footage, and edited it together in February 2015. This promo was made before I invested in a decent camera and shotgun mic. |

BOOKY CHRISTMAS
Shot in December 2015, once again for Shoalhaven Libraries. This was a follow up to the hugely popular Librarian Rhapsody, made earlier in 2015.
Continuing to break the old stereotype that libraries and librarians are boring and dull. I did all the camera work, while directing the library staff, and later edited it all together. The scope for this clip was a bit bigger than first one for Shoalhaven Libraries. The footage was shot at 3 different libraries in the Shoalhaven area over a whole day, where as Librarian Rhapsody was shot a 1 library in a few hours. So for Booky Christmas more library staff from over the region were able to get in on the act. |

BRUTAL FATE - ACTION SEQUENCE
A short Action sequence planned out and filmed with a group of classmates during my Advanced Diploma course in 2015. I was directing this sequence and heavily involved with the planning and shooting schedule. This was filmed in the studio at Wollongong Universities Innovation Campus. I was doing the course the through Wollongong TAFE, but Wollongong TAFE and Wollongong uni combined our classes. Using all the Universities modern facilities and gear was an excellent opportunity and provided some great experience. All of the group involved with the making of this clip came up with their own individually edited versions of the action sequence. This is my edited version. Apart from directing and planning, I also scored a cameo role in this clip. |
